Decking Joists

Hollow Composite Joists
Used to fix directly to a solid foundation (concrete) to provide enough ventilation for the composite decking.
Cannot be used on soft surfaces and with pedestals.

Plastic Joists
Used to create a raised subframe either on a soft or solid foundation to get your composite decking to the right height.
Can be used on soft surfaces with plastic posts and with pedestals.

Decking Plastic Posts

Plastic posts are an ideal addition for structural support for your raised subframe when installing into soft surfaces (grass/mud). They offer a strong durable support structure for the plastic joists and lumbers.

Decking Pedestals

Adjustable Pedestal Supports are used on a solid surface (concrete) in areas where you require a raised deck. These can be used with timber, plastic, metal or solid composite joists

Pedestal Rubber Mats
Used to absorb noise and offer better protection to the membrane.You will need 1 for each pedestal if you require this. Ideal for balconies.

Slope Correctors
Used to compensate the grounds slope. You will need 1 for each pedestal where the ground is uneven.

Step5Add Composite Decking Starter Clips

Decking Starter Clips

Starter clips are designed to fit and hide into the groove of the deck board allowing you to start or finish your composite decking project.

Step6Add Composite Decking Clips

Please select which composite decking clips you require.

Composite Decking Clips

Both decking clips have been designed to fit into the grooves of the deck board and allow the same spacing between deck boards.

Plastic Decking Clips
Offer a 6mm gap between deck boards.

Stainless Decking Clips Offer a 3mm gap between deck boards.

Step7Add a Picture Frame

Please choose your picture frame options from the list below and select a colour. Please be aware that this is a decorational touch that is optional. See from the images below if you not sure.

If you do not require a picture frame on your decking area please continue to the next step.

Use a bullnose edge board for the edge of your deck. Choose a colour contrast to break up the deck or even use the same colour.

Decking Steps

Adding steps adds a personal touch to your decking area. Carefully plan your deckings steps to ensure the rise and tread remain consistent. Decking step rise should not exceed 190mm; The step must be between 250-450mm deep. A flat, solid foundation of concrete or gravel is recommended to provide a sufficient level of structural support below your joist structure.
